Shelly will sound short pink noise by analyzing your sleep stage depend on your breathing sounds during sleep.

3- Sleep Analytics
You will have detailed analysis about your sleep metrics (sleep quality score, snoring, stage graph, etc.) in the morning.
Backed by Data Science
Our approach has been proven with numerous of different academic studies.
We use advanced software models to create customized support for our users.
Machine Learning
We analyze sleeping patterns through different machine learning models. It will help us to create more tailored solutions for each of our users. Our model is learning from your usage which means, it will improve our service throughout
your usage.
Sound Recognition
Sound recognition is a technology, which is based on both traditional pattern recognition theories and audio signal analysis methods. We use it to contain preliminary data processing, feature extraction and classification algorithms over the sound data that we gather through the sleep.
Personalized Analytics
Each sleep is personal!
Your sleep biology is as unique as
your fingerprint. That's why we built customized analytics platform within the app. It will help you to get detailed information about your sleep
every night.
Brainwave Entrainment
There are many elite educational, government, and research institutions that have conducted studies on the power of Brainwave Entrainment and support them as being an effective practice for improving sleep quality through sound stimulation. We have curated some those articles and studies here!
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will I listen to sounds during the night?
Shelly only applies sound therapy when you are more likely to have a disturbance of sleep during the night. On average, it plays a maximum of 15 min delta waves throughout your whole sleep.
How do you predict my sleep stages through the app?
We use the phone's microphone to collect and analyze your breathing sound. Scientifically proven algorithms help us predict each sleep stage correctly and machine learning processes improve the analysis with each night you use Shelly. We recommend a minimum of 5 nights of app usage to deliver you an accurate analysis.
Is it safe?
Yes. We use the scientifically proven methodology called ‘Brainwave Entrainment’ to synchronize your brainwave frequency with the rhythm of periodic external audio we play. Our sound therapy applies delta waves to keep you longer in deep sleep.
Is it possible to use it while sleeping with a partner?
It is possible only for IOS users. This feature is still in development for Android.
Do I need to use headphones?
No, our software doesn't require any headphone usage during sleep. Keeping your phone close to you and charging is all we need to analyze your sleep and apply sound therapy when needed.
How is my sleep quality calculated?
Sleep quality is based on four measurements:
1. Amount of time spent in bed.
2. Amount of time spent in a deep sleep phase.
3. The frequency of motion and intensity for each movement.
4. Amount of times where the app registered you as fully awake.
We evaluate it based on these 4 variables and use your own sleep data to calculate your personal sleep quality score. Sleep quality will be calibrated during the first night you use Shelly and the value will be more accurate over time. We recommend a minimum of 5 nights of app usage to deliver you an accurate score.
